Otis Selimane Remane is a mozambican percussionist, drummer, singer, composer and educator. Started his music studies at age of 07 at Escola Nacional de Música in Maputo/Mozambique, where he first learned to play sweet flute, piano, timbila and percussion. At the age of 10 he was introduced to the drums and 14 he started showing up as professional musician, perfoming over the years in many places in his hometown, national and international festivals. He worked also with renowned musicians from Mozambique: Jimmy Dludlu, Moreira Chonguiça, Isabel Novella, Cheny Wa Gune, Lenna Bahule, Xixel Langa, etc.
Currently he's finnishing his studies on music with emphasys on Musical Perfomance at Universidade Estadual de Campinas in Brazil, where he also acts as student researcher.
In Brazil he's engaged on projects such as Mbirofonia Duo, his own authoral project The Otis Project and leads a Percussion Group and Dance and Body Percussion group as well.
